The pump adapter barb is used on all Beachcomber Pumps such as 4.5 HP, 3.5 HP, 2.5 HP, 1.5 HP and the Hush Pump to connect the 3/8 water line. Required for all hot tubs that have 2 or more pumps. Also compatible with select other brands and pumps. The water line helps to purge air which prevents air locks and helps to stop the water inside the dormant pumps from becoming stagnant
Tighten until snug, do not overtighten. Once the hose is slipped over the barb reapply the existing clamp. No glue required. (Optional: If there is excess hose cut it back 1/2″ so the barb slips over a smoother hose that is no deformed from the old barb. Heat up the hose with a hair dryer or in boiling water so it’s easier to slip the hose over the barb)
