A dishwasher can wreck your filter — even without dish soap. The heat and pressure are far too strong. Cleaning a filter is easy, though. Just soak it in Filter Brite, rinse, and you’re done.

2. “Clear water is balanced water.”

Plausible
Clear water is two‑thirds of the battle. The other third is balancing it so it stays clear. Think of it as being proactive instead of reactive — your future self will thank you.

3. “Hot tubs are too much work.”

Busted
Our step‑by‑step guide shows how simple weekly care can be. Most people spend less than an hour a week. Honestly, getting your family to agree on game night probably takes longer.

4. “After going in the hot tub, you can walk barefoot in the snow.”

Confirmed
You can — just keep it short, enjoy the thrill, and hop back into the tub afterward. It’s a Canadian classic.

5. “Foam can’t be caused by washing bathing suits in the washing machine.”

Busted
This actually guarantees foam. Even if you don’t add soap, there’s still residue in your washing machine that clings to your bathing suit. Watching your hot tub turn into a bubble bath can be funny… if you’re planning to change the water the next day.
